Not only are the first flushes of the year starting to make their way down from the hills and into the markets, Portland is starting the tea season off right, with events at the Portland Japanese Garden, the Tao of Tea's Leaf Room, the Jasmine Pearl, and perhaps even more?  (If we missed something, tell us!)

Check out the calendar above for events we're currently aware of, and follow us on Google+Facebook, and Twitter for reminders about Portland tea events as they come to our attention.  Happy sipping!
Well, we're back at it!  Thanks to another Tea Salon Member Nation going into (or out of?) Daylight Saving, the current time for the Sunday Tea Salon with Michael J. Coffey is 2:00 p.m., Pacific, as of this posting.  As always, I look forward to seeing you there!

One of the cool things about having an online tea hangout every week is that you get to visit with people outside your "real"/geographical proximity.

One of the confusing things is trying to figure out what time of day will work for everyone, when you've got a couple people in Australia, a couple in Japan, one in Germany, some on the East Coast of the USA, some on the West Coast...

In any case, since fewer of us are going on Daylight Saving Time than not, we Daylight Savers are adjusting our start time back by one hour.

That is to say, until we go back to Standard Time, the Sunday Tea Salon with Michael J. Coffey is going to be at 1:00 p.m., Pacific.  Hope to see you there!
